Crystal Hill-Hover, MBA, CPRS

Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Crystal is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Twin Cities Wellness Center & Recovery Gym. She is a woman in long-term recovery from serving two incarcerations and 25 years of severe addiction and eating disorder struggles. Crystal is a graduate of Capella University where she received her Masters in Business Administration and is recognized for high scholastic attainment by the Delta Mu Delta International Society of Business and recognized as a certified leader and member in good standing by the National Society of Leadership and Success. Qualified by the Minnesota Certification Board as a Board-Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Crystal, a board member of the Minnesota Hope Dealerz, and a member of the Minnesota Association of Sober Homes, Crystal is very active in the recovery community. Crystal’s passion is to inspire others battling addiction to overcome setbacks and challenges no matter what they may be by leading by example and by preparing and encouraging others to do the same.

Jamie Johnson, MA, LADC


Clinical Treatment Director
Jamie has over a decade of experience working as a Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LADC) and recently obtained a Master of Arts degree in Counseling & Psychological Services from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. She is currently working toward clinical licensure to become a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC). Prior to her position at Twin Cities Wellness Center & Recovery Gym (TCWCRG), Jamie worked as a program manager where she provided clinical supervision and assisted in program development. Shortly after starting her position at TCWCRG, Jamie helped to organize TCWCRG’s first sober softball team (Go Wellness Warriors!) and enjoys coaching the team on Friday nights. Jamie says the best part of her job is being able to see individuals transform and begin to lead fulfilling lives without having to abuse mood-altering substances. Outside of work, Jamie loves spending time with family, and being outdoors and has a passion for protecting the environment. She is an avid learner and loves anything that exercises her curiosity and creativity.

Jennifer Miller, MSW, LICSW

MHP Supervisor
Jennifer has her master’s degree in clinical social work from the University of Minnesota. She has loved helping individuals and families throughout her 20+ year career in county government, corrections, community non-profits, and direct practice. Together with her community partner, TCWCRG, she hopes to create a community and spaces that offer a wide range of mental and behavioral health, substance use treatment, and human service supports in a safe, equitable, inclusive, respectful, compassionate way and to nurture those in our community that have been historically marginalized and underserved. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her dog Bodhi, being a self-proclaimed foodie, traveling the world learning about other cultures, and listening to Reggae music.

Jordan Horniak, BS, LADC, CPT, CES, FNS

Director of Wellness
Jordan obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications/Film, with a second major in Psychology from the University of Miami (Coral Gables, FL) in 2006. Prior to working in the addiction field, Jordan became a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Jordan worked as a personal trainer for the better part of a decade. He also holds certifications in Corrective Exercise and Fitness Nutrition. Jordan began his career in the field of addiction by working at the Greenhouse Recovery Center as an Evening Resident Manager in 2014. Jordan finished the LADC Licensure Track at Metropolitan State University in 2019. Jordan has been active in the recovery community for years through recovery support meetings, service work, and volunteering at Mission Detox and The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center. Prior to coming to TCWCRG, Jordan worked at NUWAY as a full-time LADC for several years. Jordan is excited to be able to combine his passions for addiction recovery and fitness/wellness to help others become motivated and succeed in their recovery journeys. A strong advocate for using exercise as a recovery tool, Jordan promotes a holistic approach that includes 12-step meetings, MH support, and fitness/wellness. Jordan is currently working on obtaining a master’s degree in Counseling from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.

Michael Miner, ADC-T

Lead Admissions Counselor and Chemical Health Assessor
Michael brings over a decade of dedicated experience in the substance use disorder industry as a CD assessor with Twin Cities Wellness Center and Recovery Gym. With a diverse background in direct client care, sober housing coordination, and admissions counseling, Michael is committed to providing integrative services to underserved populations. His approach emphasizes holistic health and individualized, trauma-informed care that addresses the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of addiction.

Shane Pugh, LADC-S

LADC Supervisor and Lead Primary Counselor
Shane Pugh, LADC-S is an addiction counselor who has worked in the field for almost a decade. He works “at the intersection of substance use, trauma, and identity.” Shane has worked with a variety of populations and spent time supervising and training other counselors. Shane is a co-author of the trauma curriculum “Exploring Trauma +”, and he works nationally as a trainer and educator about trauma, substance use and culture and gender. Shane is also an L1 CrossFit trainer and is able to use that experience and knowledge to support clients on another important level. 

Abbey Johnson

Office Manager

Abbey Johnson is the Office Manager at TCWCRG. Since the opening of TCWCRG, Abbey has set a high standard for her position, becoming an invaluable member of our team. As the first person you talk to when you reach out and the first person you see when you walk in, Abbey brings a welcoming and compassionate presence to our center. In long-term recovery herself and a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist recognized by the Minnesota Certification Board, Abbey is a relatable advocate for clients, helping to break down barriers and support their next steps in recovery. Her dedication and drive to assist those struggling with substance use disorder and mental health challenges are evident in her daily work. Abbey’s commitment to client care and her proactive approach make her a vital asset to TCWCRG and the services we provide.

Crissy Haider, MS, LADC

Primary Co-Occurring Counselor
Crissy Haider is a primary co-occurring counselor at TCWCRG. Working in the mental health and addiction field since 2015, Crissy has been a Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LADC) since 2022, and is currently working toward clinical licensure to become a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC). Crissy graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2015 and Master of Science in Co-Occurring Disorders and Recovery Counseling in 2023, both from Metropolitan State University. With the energy she brings to work and in her everyday life, Crissy’s passion for others to live healthy, addiction-free, and peaceful is apparent. In her free time, she enjoys painting, creative writing, reading, being out in nature, and doing traditional archery. Crissy lives with her energetic rescue kitten Pippi and future plans include many more rescue animals.

Rolley Watkins, LADC

Primary Counselor
Rolley Watkins, LADC, brings over 20 years of dedicated experience in helping individuals overcome addiction challenges to his role as a primary counselor at Twin Cities Wellness Center & Recovery Gym. A passionate advocate for recovery, Rolley completed his bachelor’s degree in Alcohol and Drug Counseling at Metro State University in 2020. He is committed to motivating and empowering clients through education and personalized support. Outside of work, Rolley stays active by skating, swimming, and hiking, embodying the holistic approach to wellness he champions in his professional life.

Jeremy Kocke, ADC-T

Primary Counselor
Jeremy is a skilled and dedicated professional who holds an Associate’s Degree in Addiction Counseling from Minneapolis College and is currently working towards a Bachelor of Science in Addiction Counseling with a minor in Mental Health from Metropolitan State University. Before joining Twin Cities Wellness Center & Recovery Gym (TCWCRG), Jeremy gained valuable experience as a Substance Use Disorder Practitioner at the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, specializing in gender-specific treatment for women. Jeremy is committed to providing compassionate and personalized care. He believes in a holistic approach that empowers clients to take control of their lives and achieve lasting recovery. By focusing on individual needs and strengths, he helps clients enhance their overall well-being.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Jeremy enjoys an active lifestyle. He’s passionate about yoga, CrossFit, and cooking. He also values spending time with loved ones and traveling.

Michael Fugère, LADC

Admissions Counselor
Michael Fugère is an admissions counselor at Twin Cities Wellness Center & Recovery Gym. With a Bachelor of Science degree in counseling from Metropolitan State University, Michael leverages his education and personal experiences to impact addiction recovery significantly. Since becoming a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor in 2014, he has demonstrated a deep understanding of recovery challenges and a strong commitment to supporting individuals on their journeys. A U.S. Army veteran who served as a mechanic for the military police, Michael is also dedicated to community volunteering and street outreach. He believes in leading by example and continually seeks ways to give back and make a difference in the community.

Tom Dubay, CPRS


Peer Recovery Specialist

Tom Dubay has a B.S. in Project Management and began his career in food science. Then, after losing everything to addiction, Tom rebuilt a new life with a focus on sobriety and is currently a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist recognized by the Minnesota Certification Board. An active member of the recovery community, Tom is passionate about the rewards sobriety has given him and loves to share his experience, strength, and hope with each client that walks in the door. Prior to his position at TCWCRG, Tom began working in the recovery field in residential settings such as NorthStar Regional and Vinland National Center. Tom’s compassion for newcomers and desire to pass on the benefits of a life in recovery is inspiring and a perfect fit for Team TCWCRG.

Johnny Roman, CPRS - R


Peer Recovery Support Specialist

Johnny Roman struggled with substance use from a young age, which progressed into young adulthood. In 2020 after many trials and tribulations, he decided to take his life back. He was introduced to the CPRS position in 2021 when he completed the coursework through Bold North Recovery, thanks to his mentors. During this time, he found his niche, he found his purpose, and most importantly he found his recovery. Recovery works and through the position of PRS, he can provide the necessary support and resources to those around him, who may be struggling as he once was. Johnny is an open-minded, caring individual, willing to share his insight with those around him. Through the dark, he was able to find light and is willing to stand in the dark with others, until they are able to find it themselves.

James Walch, MSW, LICSW


Mental Health Professional

James is the Mental Health Professional at TCWCRG. James is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with years of experience in Mental Health with families, Individuals and Community Mental Health. James is specifically interested in working with people with co-occurring disorders and helping individuals understand the connection of Substance Use Disorders and Mental Health Disorders. He specializes in assisting clients with stabilization in order to do more thorough trauma work. He provides spirituality groups because he believes in the importance of Connection to each other and this beautiful planet we live on.

Justin Heinz, RD

Registered Dietician

Justin Heinz is a Registered Dietitian Licensed in the state of Minnesota. He completed his Dietetic Internship at the Minneapolis VA. Justin is also a Certified Specialist in Renal nutrition and has a background working with clients with kidney disease. Justin studied Genetics at the University of Wisconsin and Nutrition at the Sage Colleges in New York. He enjoys running in his free time, and over the years has become very interested in how diet effects performance, leading him to return to school to pursue a career as a dietitian. 

Jayme Johnson, RD

Registered Dietician

Jayme brings experience providing nutrition care to people of all backgrounds. Her trauma-informed approach is grounded in whole-person care, with an emphasis on Intuitive Eating and building body trust. She uses evidence-based recommendations to help people feel empowered in their food choices and reclaim their health in sobriety. With a background in foodservice management, inpatient care, and outpatient counseling, Jayme offers a tailored experience to each individual that meets their nutrition needs and their unique vision of optimal health.
